But at first drop in test cricket that isn't the standard he has set for himself and its not good enough to not put up big scores when needed especially the last two tests.

I think his arrogance is part of the issue with his batting. He should take a leaf out of Tendulkers book who was struggling but modified his batting style a little and now is scoring a massive pile of runs. He can't attack the ball like he once did, that is part of getting old. He needs to adjust.

Hes just about the most consistent starter ive ever seen as an opener. Gets runs every innings.

But his conversion rate is starting to rival the great Stephen Flemings!
