I think the really good news is, once a wicket falls, we can get the rest out for about 150

Means we are still on track for a first innings lead and a physiological statement going into the home of sport - MCG

Lol you'd want a lead if youve racked up nearly 500 ffs

Malan has a test batting average of 29 and a first class average of 38. A totally mediocre career and he is looking world class here on this dead pitch batting like it was a grade match on a concrete pitch. This has been a problem for years in this country. Either groundsmen are being told to make them this way or they are incapable of producing pitches that give balance between bat and ball.

Holy f**k, 20/20 has ruined people.

It's a test, England are fighting back, it's good cricket. What do you want high octane power surge Bash Boost x factor maximums or wickets every ball?

Edit: plus we're still 360 ahead with 3 days to play.
Agreed, but still ain't a patch on the 2019 series. The tension isn't really there.

Traditional Australian pitch: does a bit on the first morning. Then settles onto a good batting surface for a couple of days before deteriorating to let the spinners into the game. In between class bowlers with skill can still prosper.

This is that type of pitch.

Story time with Chappelli is somehow more nonsensical than usual.

They were talking about the play at hand earlier in the day. In between balls Chappelli kept on and on how in his day players without coaches would sort themselves out and find form. It was very simple as easy.

We had our leg spinner Terry Jenner who wasn’t bowling well. Terry would ring Richie Benaud for some advice , cause he was from the same art. That’s all it took, to get him bowling better again
