Khawaja and Hughes are the batsmen that I'm most interested in seeing perform here. Don't care if the rest all fail, if these two gets runs together we'll have at least some small positives to take from this disaster.

I saw Khawaja score a fantastic 100 on an awful pitch in Tasmania last season where few others have even reach 50 all summer. He is seriously good. The kid can bat. He just needs to get through this nervous period.

Cook in close at silly mid off. Captains are usually smart enough not to do that. Hope Hughes or Khawaja drill a couple into his shins.

HAH looked significantly more comfortable in that over. He is getting his eye in.

Now that Khawaja and Hughes have both got through the nervous little period right at the start hopefully they can make the most of it.
