Tongue is still running on ashes debut energy.I'd like another 100 please.
New ball due in 10 overs. Not sure who will bowl it with the 2 old molls bowing now and Tongue has just bowled 87 overs straight.
Andrew Strauss saying Australia aren't going anywhere yet we've scored 83 runs in this session.
Carey and Green hit their average (35 a piece) and we’re just about home. Should Starc and Cummins add another 20 each we’d be even harder to beat. We set them 400 to win tomorrow they’ll be going for it.Carey, just reach your batting average before getting out. That would be awesome
It will be interesting to see how they go needing close to 5 an over on a day 5 pitch. Especially as they lose wickets as the day progresses.Carey and Green hit their average (35 a piece) and we’re just about home. Will definitely help them not having to face a recognised spinner (Head, Marnus & Smith are a step down from Lyon). The fact that Bazball is about NOT having draws suggests that they’ll be going for it at 5-6 an over.It will be interesting to see how they go needing close to 5 an over on a day 5 pitch. That means we’ll need a lead of 500 or so. Looking more like a 360ish chase off about 150 overs. Will definitely help them not having to face a recognised spinner (Head, Marnus & Smith are a step down from Lyon). Needs to be a filthy American style meatball sub and not a bat
