All pace attack. And Oily Knobinson.

Josh Tongue named for Lord's Test as Moeen Ali misses out
What are they saving Wood for!?
If he’s one of your best, don’t you pick him? Otherwise, what’s the point?
I suppose not playing is the new competing. Guess it makes sense under BazBall.
Ahhh, England.

The cult leader Baz has got the poms on a string.

Losing doesn't matter, as long as you're entertaining is a good way of keeping yourself non accountable for failure.

Some article I didn't read had some quote from one of them "we felt like we won, even though we didn't." Perfect

Pray for another flat deck tbh. They might just be crazy enough to do it.

Even if we lose the test England's bowlers will break their backs. Without Broad and Anderson their attack isn't nearly as dangerous. And we have better depth in that department IMO.
stat from the first test was that Australia bowled about 144 overs, England about 210

Looks a green top sadly and if there is rain then we won't see a full 5 days of play.

Last years game at Lords only lasted 3 days so chances are this will be a quick one.

Conditions at St Albans, about 25kms north of Lords, are cool (about 18) and overcast. Cloud cover is quite high so doesn’t look like any chance of rain in the short term.

Super pumped for the day; got a ticket in the lower deck of the main grandstand. Lords is the only international ground in the world where you can take in your own booze (one bottle of wine) so I am sorted till lunch. Look for me on the tele; I’ll be the Aussie giving my English mates some stick after we put them into bat and skittle them for less than 70…

My recollection when I went in 2001 was you could take a "reasonable amount" of alcohol into Lords. My prepared response was "this is reasonable for me", but I wasn't questioned.

A bit more prescriptive these days.

Obviously worked out if you only allow one bottle, then come 2pm everyone will be buying £10 pints and £12 Pimms…

You'd need to neck plenty of Pimms to even get a buzz.

Get yourself some Fred Flasks they work a treat.

England picking no spinner suggests they think it will seam around a bit. I'd give Boland another go, and probably bowl first given the forecast for the first few days isn't great.
