So if he decided to take a quick run?? You obviously don't a have a clue.
If he was running then of course you have the right to run him out. But that what if didn't happen so it is nonsense. It's not like he was trying to disguise a run by walking down the pitch.

Appealing that is like appealing when the batsman picks the ball up to give it back to you. You might be right technically, but the spirit of the game has been violated

Letter of the law he is. I hope England sarcastically toss the ball at the stumps after every ball next match and we get through about 50 overs a day.

Then some captain will be not playing the following game and the team will be losing points.

Didn't McCullum run out a bloke celebrating his partner getting a ton?

Australia are just playing Baz Ball.

I remember Sangakkara got his ton and his partner congratulated him assuming the ball went to the boundary but was silly not to notice the ball was still in play, therefore he got run out and Sangakarra ended up 100 not out.

He walked out of his crease you clueless halfwit! The ball had literally hit Carey's gloves at time & he tried threw the stumps down! Not like it was Mankad ffs. Go back to England ya dirty pom.
