Alex make up your mind .
Your changing the subject to try and cover your arse.

No one has said Cobain didn't like the Pixies.
You said the pixies are bigger influence than Nirvana and that's wrong.

That was my only argument.

They were popular amongst a certain genre of music listeners.
You are bagging Nirvana for becoming famous.
So what if they did..the fact is they infuenced more people than The Pixies and that's the cold hard truth.

Teen spirit was a deodorant .

The Pixies lost all credibilty as soon as they "sold out" ( a term you love to use Alex) with "Here comes your man "
to that putrid "Stuck on you " movie.

I'm suprised you haven't smashed all your influential Pixies CD's because of it.

Mudhoney... saw them twice ..ordinary at best.
I even bought two of their CD's .
Mark Arm can't sing to save his life...it was painful.

bollocks. Nirvana inspired the whole sound of the 90s

I won't refute Nirvana's influence but THAT is crap.

If it were true, the 90s would be a very forgettable decade.

I have always said Pixies and Mudhoney (amongst other bands) have more artistic influence than Nirvana. Stand by that.

Have also said that Nirvana have more commercial influence than any other alternate act.

So what do you want me to make up my mind about?

Pixies have their faults no doubt. You would have to admit that:

a. 'Here Comes Your Man' is an ordinary song; and
b. Pixies were pretty much dead in the water artistically by the time 'Stuck On You' came out (didn't even see the movie, nor know they had a song on the film, so there you go).
