HAH playing the crucial anchor role with 10 wickets and 35 overs remaining

0/74 - 15.1 overs
HAH 22 from 39
Finch 50 from 52

It's a 50 over game. Not 20 over. 4.6 an over at this stage is fantastic because no wicket is down.

Getting 4 or 5 an over for the first 25-30 overs and leaving 10 wickets in hand for the last 20 is the way to get 300.

Yet again they are building the foundation to get us to another win.

Putting the peddle down right after a wicket falls is the worst time to do it btw. That's how a wicket turns into a collapse.

yeah your right, pressure on the new batsman to keep up the run rate at a decent rate whilst HAH still goes turtle?

20.6

Jadeja to Hughes, SIX, he comes down the track and gives it a mightly swipe, it goes over deep midwicket for a six to bring up the team's 100

what the hell is he doing, should be blocking them as a wicket just fell

In his last 4 internationals in India (going back to the last two tests),

45
69
46
81 not out

Contrast that with his first 2 tests. The man keeps improving. Every challenge he faces he works hard and he overcomes it.

In an era of tossers like Warner and Watson and Maxwell, someone with an unrelenting work ethic and topclass attitude should be persevered with.

He fixed his nicking problem by changing his technique, he fixed his problem against spinners by learning to use his feet. This in a time when he could have sat back and lived on his big bash and IPL contracts. He kept working to make it on the international level.

He deserves an Ashes spot.

Dam India helping out England by making Hughes look good. Ashwin finally bowls properly and instantly gets Hughes.
