and  to trumpeting about his average, gee, with 22 NO's to his name (what's that, 1 in 3, 1 in 4?), it should really be higher if anything.

4 centuries - all of them this year - in 73 digs, and you honestly think he's a good opener for Australia? It only took what, 7 years of ODIs to see a few good scores?

Dud. Don't bother with him, get Phillip 'Snitchy' Hughes back in there, who f**kin cares if he can't hit leg-side shots, at least he's young and got potential.

We are talking ODI cricket here. As for the test side, who knows. I'd be getting rid of Mike Hussey and putting Watson at 4 and Hughes at opener.

Lee and Johnson rested for Australia's second one-day international

October 27, 2009
Young New South Wales all-rounder Moises Henriques has been called to India as cover for injured pace bowling duo Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson.

Lee (elbow) and Johnson (ankle) are both to be rested from Australia's second one-day international against India in Nagpur on Wednesday.

Their injuries are considered relatively minor and they're expected to resume in the seven-match series.

"Our medical staff have now decided that, while both Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson's injuries have responded well to treatment, they will be severe enough to rule them out of contention for tomorrow's match in Nagpur,'' chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said in a statement on Tuesday.

"With James Hopes' right hamstring injury being more serious and likely keep him out for at least the next two matches, it is thought adding a standby player to the squad is a necessity.

"Given the most significant injury appears to be Hopes' hamstring, we have taken this opportunity to add Moises Henriques to the squad until the completion of game four in Mohali where we will again assess the situation before it is decided if he remains with the squad."

The 22-year-old Henriques has been called as cover and will stay with the squad until after game four.

His call is reward for a starring role in NSW's title triumph at the inaugural Twenty20 Champions League in India which ended last weekend.

Henriques was equal second leading wicket-taker there with 10 scalps at 11.6.

He has previously played for Australia in one Twenty20 international.

"While the injury situation is disappointing, it does provide an opportunity for Moises to join the Australian squad and become familiar in this environment," Hilditch added.

"His form for Australia A in Pakistan and for NSW during the recent Champions League in India has been very good and we view him as an exciting young allrounder who will be looking to make the most of this opportunity in India."

We are going to have a long tail without Johnson and Lee. Don't know how much confidence we have in Hilfy so Holland could well get a game.

Be interesting to see how we go with out Hopes, Lee and Johnson. Our batting will look a lot weaker. Might need to open with Marsh and Paine and play Watson as a lower order hitter.

Batting is the least of our worries, an attack of Bollinger, Siddle, Hilfenhaus and Hauritz doesnt shout wicket takers.

We might see Cameron White roll the arm over and be in contention for the 1st test this summer as front line spinner?
