Very good effort by Vettori. I know the commentators kept raving on about that he should have taken the power play earlier, I feel he got it right though. The problem, with the way he was batting, was never going to be the run rate, it was going to be the wickets column, so he wanted to delay the big risks until absolutely necessary. The move across the stumps to whip it to the leg side were extremely risky, and he paid the price at the end when he probably had the run rate at a manageable enough level not to do it.

The top order failed badly, Broom and Franklin just aren't getting it done. I'm assuming Franklin will be out through injury meaning Taylor comes back in, but Broom's got to find some answers. Too often he's caught leg before by bringing that front pad too far across and closing himself off.

Credit to Australia's bowlers, that total should never have been enough, but Johnson and Harris tore the top order apart and New Zealand was scrapping from there to get back in. It's a measure of how good the wicket was that they nearly did.

Not a bad effort from an understrength kiwi side. Notch won it getting rid of Mac early. Another 5 overs of him going would have made a huge difference.

I honestly thought New Zealand were dead and buried early on but they put up a fight and nearly pulled it off. So it was another contest

Another awesome game with the Black Caps, has made up for a very boring summer so far.
