Congrats Aussies.

Would have felt more comfortable playing India on Sunday, that's for sure. But this is the right final.

Finch is one of the worst starters I've ever seen, worse footwork than Watson and he is terrible off his pads as his head is generally outside off stump, awful technique.

Smudger is in some rare form, he just makes batting look so easy.

I'd really like to see Marsh replace Watson but wont happen as our selectors have manlub for him.

You have to worry about India, played brilliantly through out the series but did they even try to win last night ?

Maybe we shouldn't under rate our bowlers, that was some of the best team bowling I've ever seen and Haze just keeps getting better.

Both Finch and Warner have been absolutely ordinary against all but the minnows this world cup... they can't change the side this far in, but it makes you wonder if it's worth demoting one of them.

also finchs innings was woeful.
he would have been shitting himself at the 10 over mark when India was batting.
he got away with it though.
still doesn't excuse his ineptitude.
one of the most over rated players in world cricket.
Clarke also very unreliable when the heat gets turned up.

Woeful? His strike rate wasn't great but he's clearly a bloke struggling for form since his hundred in the first game. No idea why he's getting so pumped for a 81 ffs, he helped lay a solid platform-not his fault the middle order played like sh*t.

As expected the press has heaped praise on Dhoni and his "gutsy effort" and how the rest of his team mates didn't help him.

It may look like that on paper but as he has done frequently in his career he only played for himself.

Good win, did enough, India are a rubbish side, especially with Raina looking like a fat version of Ranatunga!

Said to a kiwi this morning.

"I went to buy tissues for Monday for you, sadly they where all sold out, Indians had used all the supply."

The guy down the bottom looks like me after about 10 overs of India's innings, I thought we were goooone. I was a bit irrational.

Great game last night and seeing the hordes of Indian supporters leaving once their pea hearted captain ran himself out was priceless. I have no idea what he was thinking during his innings, he pretty much didn't even try to chase the score. When I suggested to my old man that he is batting for his average and not for his team I got some pretty dirty looks by several Indian supporters sitting nearby. Dhoni obviously has the Indian media on around his finger because most of the articles I've read in a few Indian outlets are praising him for his innings, one of the articles had a quote from Dhoni saying the chase was too much for him when he came to the wicket (I'll see I'd I can track the article in particular down again).

Heaps of disappointed Indians at Sydney airport this morning. One even suggested Steve Smith was rubbish when he saw the headline on the front page of The Australian.

In commentary, they were talking about MS Dhoni, if he didn't get out, India had only lost one out of forty (or some such).

Mark Taylor half-joked that if India wasn't going well, Dhoni might get out to keep his stats in order.
