Warne is an idiot. The mark was 6 inches above the ball.

Yes KP looking back is a bad look. But so is the bowler not being interested.

Carberry, KP and Bell need 300 runs between them from here. Minimum. Any less than that and it is game over.

TWO fielders in midwicket and he thinks flicking it into that area through the air is a good idea. For all his talent he can be such a stupid cricketer at times.

This is the last meaningful partnership now. Break and it's game over.

England just look tired to be honest, at least their key players aside from Broad... no excuse for Carberry dropping that sitter...

Don't get carried away though, unless you ignore his entire career and his poor mechanics Mitchell Johnson remains not a terribly good test bowler, and Aust's top 6 Clarke aside remains poor, and Haddin doen't have long left...

But good to see Aust giving it to the English, would be nice to see someone other than Broad giving something back... it's a good deck, so with good batting they should...

What astonds me is how much Finn and Tremlett seem to have regressed, they really need something from their 3rd quick, and Anderson to step up
Tremlett is 32 or so and has only regained fitness this year after a couple of injuries. Has just lost a vital couple of km that makes his bounce and angle fairly non threatening. Finns regression is much more of a concern for them

Quality 50. Carberry doing this funny thing called footwork. Most of his teammates don't seem to know the concept.

The problem with Lyon, and it's always been his problem is that any good batsmen who don't go full genius will make him look average.

He gets the bad batsmen out and he gets the stupid batsmen out but any decent batsman doing the basics right will pick him apart.

Carberry will get a big big hundred
two reasons

firstly he is hitting them really well
secondly he will rue the dropped sitter so will be focused more

maiden test ton for the lad coming up

currently on 58 not out

poms had fit fast bowlers ready to go on this tour eg Onions. But their mentality is to pick very tall bowlers, even if they aren't as in good form as a shorter bloke. Its back firing big time
