I said before, there needs to be at least two pink ball tests in the Australian summer (Adelaide + Brisbane, Hobart or Canberra).

MCG or SCG are unlikely to host one, unless they manage to host two tests in the summer and the test they host that doesn't occur in the Boxing Day/New Year period is designated as the pink ball test.

Although Perth hosted one vs NZ in 2019, unlikely they would host another pink ball test due to the time difference (unless it's against a low-drawing side)
Not unless they are played all over the world in equal amount. It would only further weaken us playing away.

Why can't a D/N test be in the Christmas/new year period.

The Sunset at the SCG behind the ladies/members stand is a glorious sight.

It wont affect crowd numbers in fact will encourage more i reckon.

I know there have been talks for a while to make those tests pink ball. When Warney was alive, he used to push heavily in his commentary stints for the Boxing Day test to be played under lights.

However, I can see Cricket Australia keeping the MCG/SCG tests in the late December - early January period as red ball matches due to tradition and that they have already been drawing strong crowds for a while.

The only way things would change is if they host a 2nd test during the season (last time that happened was the SCG in 2003/04, hosting both Zimbabwe and India in tests) and that test which is played outside the holidays is the pink ball (would have to happen in October/November).

A D/N Sydney Test would be unreal. I love that feeling during ODI’s at the SCG when the lights first come on, the atmosphere is electric.
Could only imagine how good it would be for Test Match against India or England.

I went to the Boxing Day test in 2013. It was an awesome experience, but a 3am wake up the day after Christmas to get on a plane made it a long day. Make it Day/Night game and it's a lot easier for people travelling.

Siraj gives a guy who scored 140 a send off then cried in the media about Head's response to that totally inappropriate send off.

Head's been rooted here.

personally, I do not have a problem with either of them, I don't mind the passion shown by Siraj, but seriously, how could they charge Head with anything ?

do they want these players to become robots and to not show any feeling and not say anything ?

If Head doesn't say anything then Australia still lose and Siraj still looks like a dickhead
