The Pakistanis have a reputation for being unfit but I'm admiring how many quick singles these blokes are running when so far ahead in this heat.

And look what happens to them when they get rid of the fixers, they're actually good when they want to win. They've got the talent to be a top 4 test nation.

Ul Haq playing a Big Showisque innings here...

Thought Pakistan would have declared with 500 ahead

They will have egg on their face if we hang on with 1 wicket to spare come stumps tomorrow

I don't think they will really care if it's a draw. It's all about a series win for them so they are just eliminating any chance of Australia winning

You useless fkn bowlers, this clown now has his name next to one of the greatest batsmen to ever play the game.

Not sure where the underrating of Misbah comes from (both here and the commentators)? The bloke was a big hitter when I first saw him. He hit the longest six at a world cup IIRC. He suffered from the Pakistani attitude, but never a lack of ability. Good on him, great knock that I thoroughly enjoyed watching

His test average is 47, he's hardly a plodder. I think some people just see his age and assume he's crap.

I caught the tail end of Misbah's innings in the bar at the WACA. Why were our bowlers banging it in short when the batsman were batting so far inside their crease effectively waiting for the short balls?

Here's a stat: Younis became the first man in 40 years to score a century in each innings against Australia. Ali and Misbah came the 2nd and 3rd to do it in a week.

Heads have to roll here, this is one of the worst Australian sides the selectors have ever served up.

The batting has been poor, but the bowling has been worse IMO. Batting on a lower, flatter deck is often an issue for Aussie sides, we've a history of struggling in India for one. O'Keefe should not have been dropped. Lyon has been very, very ordinary and I feel that's being kind. Siddle is absolutely pedestrian. Starc is hit and miss at his best, and not suited to the conditions. He failed in India, why pick him here? Johnson has bowled well given he too isn't really suited to the conditions....

Batting wise, Clarke out of form hurts us a hell of a lot. Both on the scorecard and in terms of morale given the inexperience of some players. Best batsman in the world when he's in form

Comedy capers out there today, it all started with the selections and it got worse from there.

Great knock by Misbah and Ali, Pakistan have played some quality cricket these two tests. Waqar has really turned them around.
