So Haddin drops 2 catches, fluffs an easy run out...but he is 'elite' Timbo? Sorry, nope. Might be the best we have but his keeping has gone downhill after the Ashes.

This looks like being an even bigger thumping than the first test. Pakistan were just getting warmed up last week. Time for the belt Aussies!!!!

They've got 6 tons against us in 2 and a bit innings. Which is as many as England got in all 10 Ashes tests.

STUMPS DAY 1: Pak 2/304

Ali 101
Younis 111

Wouldn't be so bad if our batsman could return serve, but you know we are just gotta get smacked

Oh well stranger things have happened.

Hopefully some early wickets tomorrow morning otherwise its Pakistan who actually may score the 700 in an innings in this series

Goodnight

The big guns brought into the side go for a combined 0/73.

Siddle was actually ok, our most economical. Only he and Johnson go close to getting a pass mark. The rest of them were atrocious.

Haddin awful.

No he was rubbish period. Opening bowlers have to take wickets or at least look like it. The only one that gets a pass is Johnson. The rest are all 1 or 2 out of 10.

1. Younis is the most ignored and underrated player of his generation... just a great bat, and the stand out here obviously

2. You guys were a bowler short, obviously (and funnily enough probably 2 bats short) - bizarre selections, and your attack has little to offer in slow conditions yet Starc was picked and a spinner dropped???

3. There are big questions over your ability to play spin...

Credit to Pakistan so far. They're an under-rated side altogether with a very good captain. Typical Pakistan waiting to give Misbah the captaincy when he turned 36. He deserved to play a lot more test cricket than he has and they will be a lot poorer as a side when he eventually retires.

Predictable after losing the toss again. No doubt the ball will turn sideways when we bat and we have a total of 4 specialist batsman so I cant see anything changing from the first test.

The No Show expected to bat at 3, lol

Yes, because he's the only one struggling in the conditions.

I suppose Clarke isn't elite either because he didn't make any runs in the first test?
