The first thing CA should do is the Sheffield Shield should become a priority again, it's been stuck on the back burner for the last decade which has been to the detriment of cricket in this country. It was the best finishing school in the world but not anymore.
Its our responsibility to not watch 20/20 and kill the ratings

South African batsmen playing so compact in compared to the Aussies. Obviously there's a benefit in batting second in conditions like this, but these two look so assured and let the runs come to them when the bowler gets impatient.

T20 is fine. its a good money earner and every nation has to deal with it.

Remember that australia is one of a few countries where test cricketers can earn real good money playing test cricket. if anything we should he more insulated from it than say a NZ or even a RSA.

That's the biggest problem. T20 is here to stay, that's fine. It's the priorities that are out of whack and an inordinate amount of weight given to less meaningful cricket and competitions.

Thats where cricket australia has gone wrong.

There has been signs that they are clueless. selecting players from odi cricket for example.

Tell your story walking pal.

Surely this pitch is doing more than the commentators think.

The sheffield shield needs to be played in 1 block before the big bash starts.

And we just need to work on first class batting. There is no depth. Lehmann averaged 57 at 1st class level and barely got a go at test level. Batsmen just knew how to churn out big runs. Somehow in the era of giant bats and short boundaries thanks to ropes we have a situation where an average of 40 is the new 50.

We've got a couple of good wickets now but we're still a long way behind.
