Sydney siders always give Clarke an ovation. Used to give Waugh's an ovation. McGrath an ovation. Just like Brisbanites gave Haydos, Roy, Border ovations. Or Tasmanians gave Punter or Western Aussies give Hussey. Hell i remember adelaide oval crowds used to go nuts whenever Dizzy bowled there. Yep..

In the two tests he has played Johnno hasn't let anyone down.

He still is inconsistent with the ball but his batting and catching (especially off his own bowling) makes him currently more than handy to have in the team.
