I remember when Johnson was first selected as a test team regular. At the time, Bollinger had presented a far more compelling case in domestic cricket. Johnson played decently and the rest is history. To his credit, he was fantastic in South Africa.

In this match Bollinger is showing he is by far the more complete bowler. Really, it was Dougie that was deserving of being fast tracked into the test team.

The reason I make the comparison is the reluctance of the selectors to pick two left armers. For the record, I think it's ridiculous. Variety is great, but if your best bowlers are left armers, then you pick both of them. It's absurd that Siddle has been preferred to Bollinger.

Bazal, care to share?

Oh Ricky. Can't blame Bollinger for kicking the ground, I'm sure it was in frustration at not being able to use the review system. That decision shows how fricken ridiculous it is to limit the amount of reviews available. Either we want to get all decisions correct, or we should just let the sanctity of umpire decisions stand. Absurd that we have this system and a poor decision like that stays in place.

Can't blame Rauf too much. Hawkeye showed it was only JUST hitting. Should have been given, but it's not a shocker in my book.

what?

Bollinger will likely be fined for that, but I don't see why he should be. Terrible, crucial decision and he's frustrated as all hell

Somebody said (italics for muffled words) "f**k he's a selfish c***, Dougie!"

And yeah, Dougie was frustrated, nothing wrong with that IMO.

there's the century for Gayle:clap:

that makes 3 centurions for Windies this series, and Australia still yet to have one ...

Fantastic innings by Gayle. Looks like he's finally realised that you can look cool all you want, but it's a lot cooler to actually perform on the pitch.

Ah yea Barath, could have a repeat of the Ashes with one team dominating the stats but not the series.

Aussie bowling looks shot.... Pontings captaincy looks uninspired and Siddle, Watson and Clarkey can't bowl due to injury.. Struggling big time not to mention Johnson has been bowling non stop leg stump half volleys.... Big changes for the perth test with any luck
