So!! he bowled crap, those 4 wickets won't mean squat if we get rolled they were to little too late.
I rate Johnson as a bowler, but I agree with you, 4 wickets is very flattering to how he bowled throughout the innings today. He did take those 4 wickets and I don't begrudge him them, but he bowled crap thoughout the innings

I agree he did bowl garbage for most of the day but it is the same clowns crying about him everytime yet he always gets the wickets.

Faz on grandstand made a good point. The Windies have lost so many tests for so long, that a draw will feel like a win to them. They couldn't bear to lose the test from the position they got into, so they won't take any risks. He wasn't defending this approach, just pointing out that this is why they are playing in this manner.

Can't believe Ponting still took so long to give Dougie a bowl. It's criminal, you'd think he dislikes Dougie.

Who are you calling a clown???? He bowled crap you said so yourself, how did he go in England???? He is a protected species who gets favourable treatment because his captain loves him.

Johnson picking up late wickets and going for 4.5 per over when the overall rate is 3.0 hasnt really done us any favours today.

Our 5th bowler Sunshine was probably our best, Bollinger not far behind

Siddle who was clearly struggling was able to keep it tighter, everyone kept it tight bar you know who.

even the commentators were amazed at how little Dougie bowled, Punters manlub does it again

Notch got 4 wickets but went for nearly 5 runs an over, that is not what you want from your bowlers, it puts the game beyond our reach

Siddle is obviously still not up for test cricket, this soreness of his is a worry, he even came home early from India and couldn't even complete an ODI series, how will he ever make through a whole test series

and once again Hauri proves he is not a test spinner, not even 1 wicket on a turner and Benn took a Michelle, hopefully Hauri gets dropped for Perth and we get Hilfy back, and maybe Clark gets a run if Siddle is still sore

Hauri was unlucky all day. Kept it tight, contributed, caused a runout.

What I will say is who was the braindead captain who decided when the ball was reversing to NOT bowl Bollinger and Watson together- our two BEST reverse swing bowlers in the team!

Sack Ponting NOW!

I saw they put up Mitchell Johnsons stats for 2009 today, apparently he has an economy rate of 50
you mean strike rate
http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/6033.html?class=1;template=results;type=bowling
50 is a pretty good strike rate, it means for every 50 balls he bowls he takes a wicket, that is a wicket every 8 overs. Shane Warne's career strike rate in tests with the ball was 57.4, and Shane Warne is easily one of the best ever

No, CH9 said his economy rate was 50 :D

I must say though for a bloke who supposedly leaks alot runs, Siddle has an alright e/r of 3 and has bowled about 45 more maidens than Johnson from 40 less overs

Well that's what being at the top for so long does. It's a bit like the All Blacks over here where the media and NZ public expects them to win every game and if they don't, then they will cop it. I would assume that it's the same with the Aussie cricket team.

pretty much, but it is not just losing which is a problem for the Aussie team at the moment, strange selections, stupid coaching, bad captaincy, we are well within our right to expect better from the Aussie cricket team
