Hauri was unlucky all day. Kept it tight, contributed, caused a runout.

What I will say is who was the braindead captain who decided when the ball was reversing to NOT bowl Bollinger and Watson together- our two BEST reverse swing bowlers in the team!

Sack Ponting NOW!

but according to you Dougie cant swing the, make up your mind

No, CH9 said his economy rate was 50 :D

I must say though for a bloke who supposedly leaks alot runs, Siddle has an alright e/r of 3 and has bowled about 45 more maidens than Johnson from 40 less overs

that doesn't surprise me

Siddle has a long way to go and those stats show what he can do and what potential he has

Notch is as good as he will ever get and leaks far too many runs, its not just that either, he really lacks control, far too many full tosses on leg stump and short wide sh*t, he really release the pressure on the batsmen so we need some one to tie them up at the other end

he gets his share of wickets but with Notch in our team we need about 12 batsmen to win a test match. He also bowls more than any other bowler so he is bound to get wickets but at what cost

its just a shame that our bowling stocks are so low atm

Johnson seems to take wickets after the damage has been done. He might have taken Sarwan's wicket early but after that he was going at over 4.5 an over and only when WI were in firm control did he finally get the other wickets. For the leader of the pack that isn't what you need.

Twiz and Aussies spot on, Johnson would want to have picked up the most wickets he always bowls the most overs and always has first crack
at the tail even though it's undeserved.

I missed the wicket =(, I can't believe I missed something in the first 20 minutes of my viewing. Anywho that makes a 5for to Johnson 5/94

Johnson and Bollinger did well in this test. A manful effort given they were the only two who ever looked like taking a wicket.

FTR I reckon people bagging Ponting here are off the mark. You have to factor in that he at times had 3 potential bowlers unavailable, and at others had blokes bowling at less than 100%.

Usual nuffies refuse to give Johnson any credit. Still bowling good pace on a fifth day wicket. Should have had 6fa and would have been deserved. That crap about only getting the tail is just crap. He is by far our most likely wicket taker in virtually every game we play.

Great day's play coming up. Our batsmen have a chance to stand up. We should have led on first innings and they have a chance to do their bit. They were every bit as much to blame for the Ashes loss as our bowling, so they are under some pressure here.

I think Australia could be in trouble. Reckless cricket by Katich, can't afford to play like that.

Ponting's captaincy has been deplorable, but I think Gayle has exhibited some great captaincy in this test, particularly in the second innings

That is not the Katich from NSW, hes usually so reserved and consistent at making 100s.
