Its funny because the commentators are talking about drop ins. I think the adelaide drop in has been good. Probably better than the last few in ground pitches but the mcg has struggled to produce great drop ins....maybe the mcg guys just suck.

Someone asked earlier wby we aten't playing NZ in a 5 test series....NZ has their own boxing day test. Some of our player batting are a joke, this mob are hopeless. I feel sorry for players who had to face marshall....ambrose....etc. This Windies team would struggle against the leading Sydney grade team.

no. they play an ODI

they want to play over here in a boxing day test but CA don't think they pull crowds

CA is correct

Sometimes we have a test, sometimes an ODI

As to whether or not we'd draw crowds in Melbourne who knows - Victorians are smarter than you though, so probably

Thats like saying you feel sorry for the bowlers who had to bowl to the run machines of the 30s and 40s. That windies line up was a once in a 100 year thing. Unlucky for the guys who played against them but i doubt ill see a pace attack so talented top to bottom in my lifetime.

Which one?

Roberts, Holding, Croft and Garner?

Or

Marshall, Ambrose, Walsh and Bishop?

Given 4 prong attacks are rarer these days; McGrath, Gillespie, Warne and Flemming was a special attack.

Asif, Amir and Shah with another spinner or seamer could have achieved greatness as the basis of a current attack.

Why is marshall in the second group ?

Because he bowled with them.

And because he is not pictured below with Roberts, Holding, Croft and Garner. The original and most famous 4 prong pace attack.

My point is that its comparable to the run machines of the 30s and 40s. The 70s and 80s and a lesser degree the 90s were the reverse of that.

The amount of quality fast bowlers they produced through the 70s 80s and 90s was unbelievable, the guys that couldn't make the team were frightening
