Green sets a fairly good example of stoic determination. I too could accept payment of $5-$10k per day to sit in air-conditioned, all-expenses paid comfort to watch cricket.

Not sure Ward, Neil- Smith, Clayton, Kellaway and Wyllie agree with you Twizzle . All have been given their first crack at international cricket. But I have to say this will be one major baptism of fire for them. Sam Whiteman has waited about a decade since he announced himself in a similar tour match against India, think it was. Has earned his spot with consistency at opener for WA over past 3 years..

The glory days of Windies cricket are well past. The last time they toured for tests was 2015/16, when we played 3 tests, this time it's 2. I'd say we won't see them again for awhile in tests.

Ok state of play on morning of second day, us with 330 runs to the good. Say we build that to 500 declare at sunset then give our quicks a crack with the pinkie. Sure to get some movement as they are better bowlers than the Windies in these conditions..

I reckon Lyon is a skirt. When I heard the other players calling him Gary I looked it up and found out that he has a nickname after a friggin' AFL player. That he didn't go berserk in the dressing room and stab all the Victorian players with a stump is testament to his lack of measurable cajones. He would fit in well at the Wests Tigers on that alone.

Him and that turd captaining them is enough for me to give test matches a big miss.
