Bugger Hazlewood out injured. Bloody CA bowl him into the ground in white ball when he should have been playing the last shield match. Haze took a record 5/8, the most economical five wicket haul in 70 years in a pinkie test. Can Barrell or Neser replicate that.
They haven't been playing pinkie cricket for 70 years Baggers, unless my mornings nap went longer than expected.

Tuning in for the first time of the summer. Kept an eye on Perth. I know Australia batted for an indulgently long time, but I was pleased that the West Indies took the game to the 5th day nonetheless. They batted well too, especially in the second innings.

Not sure that this game is destined to go as deep. Cummins and Hazelwood are big outs though.

Devon Thomas making his Test debut at 33 after a miserable ODI career a decade ago. WI cricket is going from strength to strength

Hazlewood has not. Hes been playing bloody ODI and T20 instead. I think his last Test was last January.
He didn't play in tests since then because they played 2 spinners and there was a t20 world cup Baggers.

Maybe we could have loaned him out to English to get some red bal??

Nesser in the squad as well

With Morris and Boland makes it 3 reserve pacemen. Tells me Paddy will be ruled out IMO

Cant see Starc or Hazlewood playing 5 back to back tests this summer, especially with our schedule in 2023. Wouldnt be supirsed if one of them sits this one out ...with a "niggle" of course.

:sunglasses:

It wont be Starc as he plays his best cricket in 'pink tests'. Holds record for most wickets. Hazlewood also has a good record. One recent match he took 5/8 if memory serves.

Who is to say Cummers and Hazers wouldn't have been injured in the 437 shield games Baggers wanting them to warm up in?

That elder tried to pull off a 'we don't like cricket. oh no. We love it' and failed miserably

Also, this contrived anthem is weird as f**k

Why do these anthem singers over extend themselves and go for those big finishes which are clearly well beyond their range?

Choir on the roof was a nice touch though.

I think Holder's a bit overrated. Has a great game once every several games and then several ordinary games after that. Stands out because of his leadership qualities more than his cricket.

Yeh. I missed a comma.

Looking for more laffs BCF. One game two at the most. Just to bloody well get the feel of a red ball in his hand on a pitch with some grass.
