Ponting's field selections are terrible...

Smith has been playing the late cut all day and scoring easily off it, so lets set up heavily off side field, forcing the bowlers to give him the exact ball he is looking for regularly.

Then, lets have the bowlers go around the wicket to him so with the extra angle he use plenty of bat in the shot giving less chance of an edge.

Best of all, with the field as it is we cant bowl any full deliveries close to the stumps because any on side shot is an easy single.

We have had some bad luck during this test but Ponting is turning a bit of bad luck into an embarrassment.
