Lol @ away teams.

Test cricket is f**ked atm.

India need dust bowls.
Australia need roads.
England need the ball to hoop.

The Saffas are probably the only team that can reliably win on two or more of the major away tours.

SA ? lol

They got smacked by SL

without AB they are dust, Steyn is going soon, Morkel retired, Faf getting on

You can throw them in with the rest of us, they will at times win here, and we will win there again, only cause decks are similar

Rabada and Ngidi are young and deadly. Tbh - they can handle losing Abbott, Morkel, then Steyn and Philander one day.

The batting continuation is their problem. They're already at the bottom of the barrell with batting replacements.

On the one hand, LOL at team India for being dispatched so cheaply, on the other hand that's us in 12 months time.
But mostly LOL at team India.

India's all-singing, all-dancing lineup just can't play when the ball performs for the quicks.

Watch them throw in the towel completely if they go 3-0 down too.

This is why if you want to play a 5 test series, you need to have an equal number of FC warm up matches to get your players ready. Having a net just doesn't work.

I really don't believe the warm up games would be much use. Counties are going to rest key fast bowlers for the championship matches anyway. So that leaves ECB selected teams of fringe players, but to have so many of those games, the counties will protest.

Not even the English top order bar Root look likely, this includes Cook. England batting has been getting by with allrounders for a while now.

If India wants to win in England, it needs to send more players to county cricket in the off season (after the IPL).

And with effectively a 2 day test now, and a 3 day and 1 session in the first, they really need to question the team balance of Hardik, two spinners and just two frontline seamers. (His 3/66 may improve his bowling stats, but it aint much good when Jimmy takes 9/43 and Woakes 4/43).

Pujara has been woeful for Yorkshire, so him struggling in the tests is no surprise at all.

Kohli was meant to play some county this year, but it didn't happen for whatever reason.

I think Shastri is a "yes" man and Kohli, despite being a passionate leader, isn't in the Steve Waugh or Martin Crowe mould of thinking tactics and winning teams. India should be stacking the batting and playing at least 3 frontline seamers.
