 Bell gets the ton, his first batting at number 3 and England are starting to take this test by the throat. This has been a great partnership for the poms

Can see Bell getting his maiden test double century here.
His previous highest score is 199.

Mother of all c**k ups right on tea it seems. Ball was fielded on the rope, English players thought it had hit the rop, bell wanders down to say good session to Morgan thinking the ball is dead, Indian players take off bails. Bell out.

f**king stupid, but

Careless from England, probably not in the spirit of the game from India. But stupid from England

Could be a match turner that one, Bell didnt look like getting out before this

That was a most bizarre sequence of events. I really feel for Bell going out that way and I am sad to see the ranga partnership broken up too soon.

Third session should be an interesting one. I wonder if Trott will be back

I reckon if Prior does come out next, he and Morgan could make a big stand and hold off Trott from coming out til tomorrow. If they make a good stand and one of them falls late n the session, I would bring Anderson in and then t will be only useful batters coming out for England tomorrow. would think that England would want to be doing a fair bit of the batting tomorrow

Apparently Bell thinks the on field umpire called over before the incident was referred. Cricinfo tweeted
Just heard audio of Bell shouting to third umpire, as he walked off, that the on-field umpire "called over". Oh double dear. #engvind

India withdrew their appeal and recalled Bell, decision overturned. Insanity! But I think the right thing to do. Although I do think that by the letter of the law Bell was out.

I'm also willing to wager if Ganguly were still captain/in the team, I doubt they would've recalled him, but fair play to MS Dhoni

The more I think about it, the more unsure I am that Dhoni did the right thing recalling Bell. It was the right sporting thing to do, but it will probably cost him and his side and it was a legitimate wicket in the first place. The real problem and real unsporting thing that wasn't in the spirit of the game was the initial appeal, but he can't take that back. I think Dhoni put himself in a crappy situation appealing in the first place and there was a no win situation that resulted.

It will be certainly interesting to hear Dhoni's side of things
