To be fair the only Saffa's they have are Pieterson, Trott & Prior, Strauss has been in England since he was 6 to be fair

Craig Kieswetter aswell is on the fringes not to mention Eoin Morgan from Ireland and let's not also forget that KP has often openly admitted playing for England simply because he felt he wouldn't make the South African team.

I blame VFL for this.

Well, because of the VFL/AFL, MCG uses drop-in pitches, Adelaide Oval will be using drop-in pitches when Port Adelaide and Adelaide move their homes games there (although Adelaide has been a flat track for a long time, with scores of 500+ in the 1st innings very common). The VFL also tried to bully the The Gabba and SCG into producing drop-in pitches, but luckily both of those grounds' administrations declined.
