NZ in box seat unless it rains. Poms will be lucky to get anything over 250. The negative mindset has already sunk in for them.
They had their chances to take a grip but failed to do so.

England will now need 400+ to win.

NZ should win from here.

Broad had a 20 and 19 run over today against the tail. He looked ready to cry at the end of the last one. Cook is out of ideas, they will now need 455 to win which would break every record in the book.

Amazeballs.

That bowling from Broad was ridiculous, seriously you'd think he'd have cut out the short stuff after the first couple of sixes.

Good slogging from our tail though. Craig is a decent bat.

Can only be a kiwi win or a draw from here but the pitch is not really deteriorating so they will have to work for it.

Rain put a dent in our chances...

Craig really is proving invaluable - scoring runs very consistently at #8, great at slip, and while his overall bowling record isn't startling, he's already been key in a few test wins

Pitch is holding up well but I think if NZ are able to do it, it will come late in the day. I expect England to stonewall and then lose a bunch of wickets.
Their only hope is rain which is forecasted, though I don't know how much and when.

Eh?? Root's talking big about having a crack

Despite losing test 1, and regardless of what's happened here, I am pretty happy with the way we've played, and how well we've played
