They probably want to watch Baz go the tonk in person.

I'm sick of these 2 test series... Even the Windies get more tests then we do.

It was funny reading the English media this morning... "One team looks like it's ready to go head to head with Australia and the other is England..."

Nevermind... Looking forward to the test series in Australia this summer!! This place is gonna be crazy!!
6 tests total as well is nice, the three over here then the three over there in new year. Looking forward to it

A good test series 1-1 is a fair result. But the result smacks in the face of the morons who voted for a 2 test series.

I haven't seen much of NZ test team lately but Willaimson, Southee and Boult leave England with reputations enhanced. Impressed by Watling too.
Looking forward to seeing them out here later this year where hopefully its a tight series and I can be glued to the TV.

Poms usual failures. Ballance & Bell are badly out of form and a tough series against Australia will most likely continue their run.
Anderson & Broad are past their best in my opinion and England lack a quality 3rd seamer and front line spinner. Bayliss will have his hands full teaching these muppets how to catch, bat and bowl.

First order of business for Trevor Bayliss should be to drop Ian Bell. Since his ton against WI in the first test Bell has had 8 innings and averaged 6.8.
Since the beginning of the 2013-14 Ashes series in Australia, Bell has averaged 29.89 in 30 innings, with 13 single-digit scores
Bell is talented but its about time he was kicked up the bum. An experienced player like him that has a shot repertoire many batsmen would kill for, should have by now averaged more than 43.

About time NZ started to get some respect. I am still livid that the Windies... the friggen West Indies... the hopeless Windies... have got the MCG Boxing Day test. And a two test series here? Give it up.... We would have smashed them in the third test.

Awesome performance, BJ Watling has cemented himself as a world class keeper-bat, Williamson in the first test showed he is the real deal, Boult's swing is legendary, Mark Craig is becoming a very good solid test match all round cricketer (fielding, batting, bowling), and finally it seemed, even if its a bit indifferent, there are two openers with some potential.

Mark Wood looks a good third seamer for mine. Quite quick, good movement, bowls a challenging length.

Moeen Ali has anything but a #6 batting all rounder is an awfully defensive decision. It was as if they knew they couldn't trust their middle order and needed extra protection down in the lower order. Good ODI player, not sure he's test quality. He's probably a guy who would be a decent second spinner on a spinning wicket, or the back up should there be injury, but not good enough to be their starting spinner which is what he should be picked for first and foremost.

Been saying this pretty much for all his career actually.

For a guy of his apparent class he just never seems to deliver that clutch innings, when is the last time he won or turned a match in his own hands? I honestly cannot remember one, he's mostly cashing in when things are going well for them as a team.

Yet his numbers are good, and his career highlights package will be full of quality shots.
Good player who never was, and never will be great.

... and this

It's a farce that this didn't get at least 3 and actually deserved to be 4 or even 5.

And yet we endure years like when India got cleaned out 4 NIL twice in the same year, by England and Australia.

Not determined yet as far as I see. I saw an article recently talking about the Christchurch venue, they have strict limits on number of days with crowds >2000 people, and they have domestic T20's to consider also.

They have another tour over there earlier. I'd guess Wellington will host one of the tests, and the other tests that summer will be between christchurch, dunedin, napier, hamilton. Maybe Auckland, but only if they think it'll be big enough to justify playing at that stadium

The Basin and Hagley are both very enjoyable grounds to watch cricket from, even if very basic (particularly Christchurch) facilities wise. Tickets generall pretty cheap and heaps to do other than cricket over there. Love it over there

I enjoy going to Hamilton when the test is in town.

Mostly embankments... So grab a beach chair... Maybe even an umbrella... Chill out and watch some good cricket.

I remember one year a mate from uni brought in a decent sized inflatable pool... And his mate at the stadium filled it up with water. So about 6 or so of us spent the day in the pool on top of the embankment watching the game... We each made runs to the supermarket next door throughout the day to grab a new bag of ice to keep our water cold...

Pretty rancid by tea though... Lol... Student days...

The 2013 Ashes series in England. He was the difference between both teams. Joint player of the series.
3 tons when when Eng needed them the most. He came in several times at 3 or 4 down with not much on the scoreboard and produced.
He is just goes missing more often than not and cashes in against minnows too much.
With the talent and knowledge of the game he has got, he should be in the top 3 batsmen of today's game. He also should be a viable alternative captain than Cook but hasn't got the guts to step up.

And lol @ Root the mouthy smarmy little shit. No wonder Warner jobbed the pretentious little snot.

How dare an Englishman have a positive outlook instead of the normal pessimistic attitude.
As if Warner hasn't mouthed off over the years. You wait till the series is over in the Windies. The bullshit and spin will start from insecure cricketers.

On Luke Ronchi - reasonable chance he never plays another test - pretty good one if that's his only one!

Hopefully Auckland can get a gig, and the kiwis get behind the side. Would make "big 3" sit up and take notice, especially if the side continues to do well

I take your point, but also raise that 2013 had one of the weakest Australia Ashes sides in a long time. In most other Ashes series Bell generally does sfa when they're in trouble.
