I believe we named a squad for both tests...

I assume because of his indiscretion a reserve pace bowler will replace Bracewell - but the obvious candidates might all be hurt...

Taylor's wife expecting so is/was unlikely he'll play, Ryder as back up for that, but must be question marks on him...

If the selectors are the real deal they must think about whether Sodhi is right at the moment, he does bowl some good balls - but so do I. And must be last chance for Fulton (he was always a short term option anyway) and Rutherford - who like his old man continues to disappoint....

According to stuff Ryder won't be considered for Wellington even if Taylor is unavailable. That probably means Fulton and Rutherford are safe as they wouldn't want to ring the changes unless necessary. I guess Latham could come in at 4/5 if Taylor withdraws?

I reckon they'll stick with Sodhi as well, at least for this test.

Neesham and Latham in for tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber...

Latham only on stand-by for Taylor, shame because he should otherwise be opening.

Hopefully Neesham plays for Sodhi who will only get smashed again - another into the wind pace option, and lengthening the batting line up seems sensible to me

Yeah Neesham should play. Williamson can take the pace off the ball if need be.

Play both. With Taylor out, Latham comes in, Sodhi has to go so Neesham takes his place

Really hope we can win the series.

Taylor is a huge loss, but at least they are saying they'll play Neesham, so while the batting lineup isn't strong, at least it's long

The two walking wickets gone early. NZ far too reactive - just because you win a game it doesn't mean 1-11 are all doing their jobs.

Agreed.

I was hoping Watlling would be promoted to open, with Latham batting 7 and Flynn batting 5. Fulton has got to go

No openers banging the door down though, I think Jamie How got a big 100 the other day...

I still like the idea of Flynn and Latham...

I wouldn't mind seeing Broom given a shot. Very good first class record and a poor List A record. NZ logic = he was given a shot in the ODI team and discarded from all formats when he didn't perform.

Guys don't really need to be banging down the door when both openers are averaging 10-15 this summer. A gentle knock would suffice.
