Yep. Lyon is meh as f**k but he's the best we have and has been the whole timeSwepson just as massively mediocre as his record suggests. Spin bowling in Australia has been absolutely embarrassing since The King retired
Even Smith or Labs before the new ball, ANYTHING!Time for a change. Get Cummins on.
Yes and no. 200 full tossers from Swepson aren't that hard to defendThis is a great innings by Babar

Has there ever been a bowler in test history so amazingly blessed because his country's depth is so awful? The bloke should have played about 15 tests max. It's like the Eels forum in here lol.
One upside to being shit...so many folks lose theirs!
Fact is we rely, for some reason, on a bloke with no hair to bowl us home when he's almost never done it in his life. Need a spinner for this, can't blame the quicks on a spinners deck day 5.
Still, get Babar and it changes again
Why is Swepson bowling with 2 better leggies in the side in Smith and Labs?

He's no better than Lyon. The question has been well and truly answered here imoConsistency is Swepson's problem. He's created chances that weren't taken or given, but he's also bowled too many full tosses and too far outside of leg.
We needed to not miss out on those catches really. He could have had Babar Azam out twice had the catches been taken, so there's that.
