Was at the game... disappointing, but a great atmosphere - particularly in that first 20 minute period.

3. Paasi - absolute gem. If Gavet can re-discover form, Bunty progress & Leeson back we might have a real rotation
2. Tevaga - was in everything once called on... not perfect by any means, but jesus that effort is valuable
1. Tohu - probably our only real danger in the 2nd half... needed more ball

HM.
Fus - equalled Meli, good on him.
Simon - for a great career.

I hate repeating what the other guy said, but yeah.

3. Paasi - gee he hits the line hard.

2. Jazz - Live Jazz changes your view of him. I'm a real fan. He's in everything and can put a tackle on.

1. Tohu. A champion who needed support, but he knew that when he signed up.

Hiku was good, real good. What he had to do tonight is not easy.

Johnson went missing when we needed him the most.

Cheers to Simon. Onya Fus.

How can you build mental toughness????
SJ can’t lead a team, goes missing when going gets tough, so frustrating for top paid playmaker.

3. Harris
2. Mannering
1. Paasi.

Sorry. I don't get the Tevaga love. Our props went off at 20 and Jazz came on. At that stage we were leading. We need big bodies on the field.

Kearney has to take a fair bit of stick. His rotation is flawed and too predictable. And he has to get over his Kata fixation.

With this squad we should be doing much better.

Yeh, i dont get the love for Tevaga either. Is it is because he is in everything that people notice him? But was he exactly doing? Ok, he makes a few tackles which is what he should be doing but hes under the illusion hes 8 feet tall and takes far too many hitups.
He expects to smash through players and score under the posts when hes five metres out. Hes kidding himself.

People like that hes got heart. Heart only takes you so far.

Hes also shit from dummy half, coughs up 2-3 penalties a game usually when the other team is on 4th or 5th tackle, tries to throw offloads when they are not on. I am talking about the whole season here, not just last night games.

People will respond by saying no one else is putting their hand up to take the hit ups. How do you know that when Tevaga is always parking himself at first or 2nd receiver. He should stay out of it. Hes a limited player in the Nathan Friend mould and i dont see him as our lock going forward into 2019 at all.

This is Jazz Tevaga. Like Scrappy Doo he does everything you've mentioned above but in the end, its his team that bails him out.

Agree on Tevaga criticism but we were pumped and his efforts stood out

Think Kearney is still a potato overall, and Johnson is a downhill skier

Green wasn't great but he tried

The Jazz love is based on effort shown, not ability.

3. Harris - was the key reason it didn't become a 40 point blowout, he is a monster.
2. Paasi - once again our most threatening forward
1. Tevaga - even if purely for work rate

HM Gavet, Hiku - showed real guts filling in for RTS

Now Tevaga is copping it here for pretending to be 8 foot tall, ok maybe, but it wouldn't be problem if some the guys who actually are 8 feet tall actually played like it. What's going on with our forward back when a pocket rocket from the bench is showing them up with good hard scrap. Jazz shouldn't be featuring in our 3,2,1's - but the fact that he is is a blemish on our pack.

Big thanks to Mannering for his champion years of service, sadly he's only been on half tank all year and, while not bad, wasn't anywhere near his best again.

-3. Kata - seriously WHY do we insist on fielding this idiot, what exactly is it that he brings? A player who can't play the ball correctly in finals football after years of experience shouldn't be playing first grade, end of story. He's a centre who can't set up his winger, makes terrible defensive calls, and tries to play hulk but doesn't run anywhere enough. He's basically half a player, what a waste of time.

-2. Ken - maybe it was just a golden period or a loss of confidence, but those metres and hands have deserted him and we're basically fielding another liability. This guy is not the second coming of Manu, get over it and look at a real winger. We can't afford a player who only has patches of great form and falls away when it counts.

-1. Blair - has the most finals experience? But certainly didn't show it; after contributing that momentum killing offload he minced around all night as usual. What is the point.

Dishonourable Mention to Johnson, yes we were getting outclassed bit time but I didn't see any attempts at clever kicks to get us out of trouble and was shockingly anonymous when we finally got some territory. Kakariki was basically forced to do everything when we desperately needed off the cuff points - we needed a sudden surge like we found in the 2011 GF and Johnson was the only person who could have engineered it.

May sound picky above but overall I thought everyone generally tried hard, we were just beaten by a better team and we carry some crappy players who's flaws got magnified given it's a finals match.

RE Tevaga - he didn't just 'make a few tackles'... he was the best player we had defensively. And it wasn't particularly close. I'm not judging him on dummy half work... because he's not a f***ing hooker. Never has been - that was just an early experiment when he came into NRL because he's smaller... an experiment that should have been thrown out long ago. If the coach uses him as one, that's Kearney's fault. I see him more like a better version of Blair.

As for Green... he was worse than Johnson... at least Shaun did _something_ at some point in the game. The guy is getting crucified while Green barely gets a mention - bizarre. Luke was bad too.

I forgot about the kickoff into touch, that was absolutely appalling.

TBH I thought Green tried much harder than Johnson

Agree on Tevaga, shame he's not bigger, to me being better than Blair isn't a big ask, I really don't understand how Blair has had the career he has
