Yep, and again, a Bluey concept that has come off. Credit where it's due...and if this is a sign that things are starting to click he does deserve accolades for it. You've been hearing dissent all last week from the media just starting to sharpen their pencils on Bluey, haven't heard a thing about the coach since the game.
But it is only one game, and you're as good as your last one. Keep it up guys!:)

Just out of interest, what was his other concept that came off?

Woulda given my 3 to JRo, but he came off a bit the worse for wear, I suspect a Welly conspiracy...

umm...winning sunday! Good strategy! But many were starting to doubt, myself included, so like to give ups when deserved. But of course, only one game, and even during '09 we'd get wins with the law of averages coming up! So- good on 'em, let them enjoy the moment after a fortnight of shit...but gotta take that win and keep it up and get better from there. And all those other cliches too;-)

Honourable mentions to Benry & Mannering, much better game from us, but we will need a lot more improvement when we face the Storm on Anzac Day.

I still very much doubt Bluey.

Remember, we've beaten the Eels, the Titans and the Bunnies. Hardly worth doing backflips about just yet.

Friend was much quicker out of dummy half too.

I read in earlier comments that there was a bit to worry about him (ie he's too slow, no Aaron Heremia, etc).

Watching him at Parra stadium last month he just held it all together, in the expected and best traditions of Campion and Luck.

Yeah he'll give solid no-nonsense service. I would like to see them play around with the dummy half interchange though like the used to do with Gatis, Fein, Hohaia etc. So say 30 mins of Friend and then inject someone like Mara or Brown to really scoot out of there.

Agree, it's all about consistancy. It won't count for shit if we get spanked in the following game. The Storm will be a good yardstick to how we're going...but even if we beat them I'd still be pissed if we go back to the lathargic team the following game:?

Heh--Heremaia was slow no matter how dominant his forwards were. Needed to peek at the defense and where he was going to pass as soon as he picked the ball up.

Freind is past his use by.

We need a bit of youthful energy. Havilli Nafe..

Yeah I am excited about Havili, and that new centre who debuted for the U20s in the weekend. Double on debut? Looked sharp as. I also see Palavi going far.

I didn't watch the game but I think Friend follows the same lines of Luck. Not fashionable, a lot of people think he's old and slow and offers little but just wait until he's not there.
