Alright, I know...that was awful.

Might as well do this, although nobody has a good game.

3- Lillyman- at least when we came on for Lisone, we got a bit of parity in the middle of the park. It didn't really matter though- they just started spreading it wide.

2- Thompson- a few blushes, but still had more impact than anybody else.

1- Ayshford- didn't do too much wrong and didn't deserve to go to the bin.

3. Thompson
2. Lillyman
1. Ayshford - good call Meth, I agree. Defended well and set up a rare possible try

Thought Fus actually went ok, very very little else to write home about.

Almost the whole team was shocking on defence in the first half, wtf is Manu/Kata doing on that edge.
SJ went to sleep (surprise)
Thomas offers little as a half as we know
Luke's non-performances are really pissing me off now

Going to call out Hoffman as well, I've been waiting for him to go up a gear but it's just not happening

3. Ayshford - he gave a damn, and shaved off about 20+ Storm points by being there.
2. Lillyman - solid, strong and consistent.
1. Thompson - Our only other impact forward, with Lillyman.

Fusitua's a good kid, I want him permanently in the side. A tremendously athletic talent. Geez, we should be nurturing this stuff.

Some new, fresh faces next week please. For example, Luke dropped. Can Jazz start as hooker, backed by TL, with that Hingano kid put in the halves? TL can cover there too if it doesn't work out. Gavet or Vete in for Gubb, although I like Gubb, he also gives a damn.

Surely Hoffman won't make the state team on this form? That'd suit us obviously, he won't become a Steve Price, getting smashed past his prime in Origin.

3. Bodene
2. Blake
1. Kata

Don't care what anyone says, Muts is horribly overrated. Every time the heat goes on, everytime there's a big one-on-one matchup (v Jesse, JWH, Fifita etc) he goes
Missing.

Most of the rest get minuses. They've got no clue against a well drilled, defensively organised side.

1. Fusitua.

Gee there were some pathetic performances out there.
Laughed to see Capster going off in the dressing room at half time.
I think Manu's use-by date has arrived.

The Warriors are pathetic - a shell of what they should be.
Johnson 1 run for 10M. What's that about?

I like Thompson, but we got cut to pieces down his side of the field in the first 20 minutes - which was the losing of the game.

I'm giving no one anything. I'm giving all my points to Harris, Bromwich and Proctor.

I'm angry as tutae.

Where did he earn points? (genuine question)

He wasn't the worst guy out there, but this was a typical SJ nothing performance

He looked like he was trying to me but the combination of being starved of the ball, Stprm defensive awesomeness and everyone around him sucking pretty much ruined any chances for him to make an impact.

Thompson seemed to be out in the Ce tres a lot where he looks hopelessly slow. Was that due to a reshuffle after Tui's injury?

yep, for sure.

On any other night, he wouldn't have got points- it's just that nobody else really had anything redemptive about their game

Johnson continually ran 3/4 of the way to the line and then opted to pass basically every single time. He often looked very sharp and like he should be able to get on the outside of his man or beat him with footwork- but once he got there he passed.

I think the Bulldogs game last week may have been a bit of a mirage as the Dogs defended him as if he was 2015 Johnson (i.e. committing defenders to him), which gave him the opportunity to hit his runners and get try assists. All a smart defence has to do is back off and wait for him to pass. It is transparently obvious that he is afraid of getting tackled, even when confronted with a glaring opportunity to run.

Oh, and obligatory "didn't think Manu was that bad" :p cbf giving out points for that display though

Yeah and Manu wasn't really bad last night. His defense was back to the bad old days, but thats not entirely his fault, I know...just looks spectacularly bad
