Kosi was actually really good tonight. Sorry, had to say that. His big problem is the high balls. Tigers didn't exploit that. Maybe the late change didnt get through to Benji and he didnt change the plans

I felt like they tried early, but he was solid

3 - Egan - another great game, and first time i can remember him looking good in the wet
2 - Halasima - because of that try (I could watch that on repeat all day) and his general aggression - yes, a bit sloppy at times, but that try...
1 - Kosi - he went well, no errors, some nice offloads, even took some hitups off the kickoff

HMs - CNK, Pompey (wet weather football suits him, and his try was pretty special, too), JFH (seems like he's carrying the ball a lot more here than he did at Penrith), Clark, Ford, Bunty (good choice by Webby for this game).

Vaimauga ran hard, but made a couple of defensive errors
Niukore also ran hard but made errors and gave away penalties
Capewell shouldn't be playing 80 minutes - always lots of effort but looks pretty fatigued at times
I didn't think our halves were too terrible, actually. Apart from a couple poor last tackle options I thought Metcalf ran the team fairly well, and CHT did what he needed to do, too.
Usual high effort from Barnett, but didn't think this was one of his better games.

I thought Kosi would be the difference between the sides in a negative way but he was solid. Reckon they were deliberately kicking to him too

Even though our forwards were dominant, we were definitely loose at times. Again, you have to question JFH and Barnett off at the same time.

CNK over 200 meters, Egan over 40 tackles, Clark over 150 meters, Kosi over 200 metres, Fish over 35 tackles, Chanel almost 30 tackles. Some really big performances.

Some sloppy stuff too, Demetric and Bunty really lazy for the Fainu try, a lot of laying on tackles too long too. Great to go into a bye on a win.

3. Egan
2. Clark
1. Kosi

x2, Spot on!

yep. our defence tightened up straight away when Webster made a double change and brought them back on.

Leka got points but stuffed up with the dumb post shyness. We lose that game and he's feeling flat afterwards, in what should've been (and was) one heck of a career highlight.

Is there a possibility he saw the ref as a Tiger?
Just youthful excitement got the better of him I’d say, couldn’t believe he was in the clear with the line beckoning. The best thing is while it didn’t end up costing the game absolutely everybody is still giving him shit for it so he’ll learn his lesson.

3 Egan - only one with craftiness now that Walker is gone. We need more crafty players
2 Clark
1 JFH

No DMs but something needs to be done about the kicking game. Too many uncontested balls.
I see Metcalf as more of a support player, not a creator from the halves. Red Zone stuff from the halves was terrible for the most part. Needed Egan to break the line for one try, and to win the game we needed a 70m play.
