did we have many of them today .... of the 16 times we managed to hold on to the ball out last tackle options were pretty lame, this has been a problem from the time kimmorely was injured.

you keep talking about other people in relation to Vaganas problems.
he is simply out of form. badly.
If we hadn't spent so much money on him, he would be dropped.
We have had the back line re-arranged 3 times to accommodate him & he still is not improving.
he missed the first 5 games.
He missed nother 2 through suspension because of poor tackling technique.
He will miss another 2 now probably.
He needs to improve exponentially!

Who would you drop him for Reefy? I realise he may be a little out of form but I still think he is the best option at centre we have. Today he appeared to try and get invovled and i think we saw some improvement out of him. I am hopeful that with time this improvement will continue and he will regain his form. Unless the problem is attitude related (which im not convinced it is) I dont think you should drop class. He was the 5th highest tackler in the team today, only 2 tackles behing Danny Nutley and Nutley missed more tackles than him. I am usually a Nutley fan but today I was dissapointed with him. I realise both times it would have been difficult to stop the tries but Nutley could have stopped both Barretts and Riddells tries.

Cant rap Isemonger's effort out there enough. He did miss 3 tackles but it looked like he was putting in 100% whenever he was on the field. Beattie also deserves a rap, anyone know whether the club will reconsider and give this bloke a contract? He deserves one. Or is he going to the knights? He hurt some ppl today.

It will be interesting to see what they do this week with him out.

You are a stats man reefy, compare mcgoldricks to vagana's and tell me who you would prefer out of the two.

I will give Goldy the green 50 times every day over vagana.
You see, I'm an effort person.
& considering one is paid 5 times more than the other, I am shocked, dismayed & disappointed that the guy on the higher rate, puts in far less & contributes far less.

3-Bailey
2-Nutley
1-Stevens

The forwards were doing all the work. The backs wouldn't have been able to catch one of those big beach balls. Damn pathetic it was.

Bailey had a blinder, and Nuts lead from the front. Pity no one else was as keen to follow. :(

So what does that mean you looked up the stats, saw Vagana is better and avoid the question.

13 matches 8 trys ... seems good to me considering the ordinary team he is playing in.

There are other stats too, like how mcgoldrick is worse in defence, makes less metres

do you think the poor performance of a 50k player vindicates the poor performance of a 350k player?

I agree Millers, it doesn't vindicate it at all.

Do you think McGoldrick has had a better season that Vagana?

Exactly Millers.

I receive a great deal of angst from many here becaue I directly relate money to performance.

The first people I look at for performance

kimmorley
Vagana
Stevo

Of those three, only one is playing to his value & only two are putting in effort.
330k =is a lot of tries a lot of chased kicks & lot of not missed tackles
350k =near perfect kicking game, wise options, excellent direction & commited tackles.
260k =exactly what Stevo is doing.

3. Me, for sitting with the merged scum fans and not catching any diseases
2. Jimbo, for asking the Brass Band to play 'Roll out the barrell'. Several times.
1. GF, for encouraging Jimbo.

nah, kidding...

3. Beattie
2. Isemonger
1. Stevo

None of the backs turned up except Zeus. Bloody Reick couldn't catch a cold, and Merritt was...well, we won't go there.

So the forwards get the points today.

So you would like a team of 50K players that put in a lot of effort ..

Bag Vagana all you like, fact is he is a better centre than McGoldrick and his stats prove it ...

Why does he have to be the first chaser to arrive, because he is on 330K ?

When we actually have a kicking game maybe he will improve in this area, ATM no one knows what the f#@k is happening on the last tackle.

A centre like Vagana will never be totally effective playing outside Gallen and Kent, as opposed to Anasta and Sherwin.

Vagana never missed tackles at the Dogs, why does he here, maybe because the rest of the team miss so many he has a lot more players running at him.

ATM he has scored 8 tries in 13 matches (should have been 9), playing outside a crap halves pairing.

I think he is going ok, sure room for improvement but so has everyone.

And thank christ Bird is back next week.

I think Goldy is worth 75k. what he is getting paid. Especailly seeing he gets shunted around everytime he has a new centre partner or wing partner.

On this years performances, Goldy is clearly the better centre.

If Vagana was off contract, he would not be re-signed, Goldy would, because he is getting better every game.

FTR, on this years performances I value Vagana at about 60-65 k

Cant tackle, wont chase, always injured.

Extremely poor purchase to date.
