I think it’s just the sheer size of it.

Post development for the Commonwealth Games, I would agree.

I went there for an ODI in the late 90s, before the northern end was redeveloped. Still had a variety of stands then, but it is fking big. Had seats at the back of the old Olympic stand and the play seemed to be kilometres away.
