I'm not going to give my opinion on man of the match,or man of the series..
I'm going to give my Man of the Summer..
There are a few candidates for the award this year,which is a pleasant change from this time last year when the side were playing like 'tards,& copped the closest thing to rape you will see on cricket fields,from the Poms..
AB winner Captain Clarke would be at the forefront of any discussions on MOS..A triple & Double ton in consecutive tests,truly innovating captaincy,handy wickets,& still undefeated in a series in the hot seat..
Sidds surged back from sarcastic nicknames,to awe-struck ones..Without actually changinging his moniker:shock:.."Sidds the Magnificent" indeed..
Hilfy seemed to transfer into a completely different human..No longer a one tick pony who could only produce if conditions suited..Adding a leg cutter to his armoury,& like Sidds,pitching the ball up,morphed him into a truly world class test bowler..Can't wait to see him in England next year..
Ricky Ponting..What can you say..Never,ever,write off a champion..Vale his ODI career,but if he can keep his test form in order he will be there next Ashes,& is clearly a man on a mission now he has relinquished it to Clarke..Well played legend..
James Patto blazed a trailed before falling to an all to common fate for our young quicks,injury..Multiple 5 fors before breaking downs marks him as a mammoth talent..Futures so bright,i gotta wear shades with this one..
Mike Hussey again showed how good he is in home conditions..He just needs to find some of his old,wall like,county form from times past,if he is going to stick around for the Ashes..Congrats on another good summer old mate..
Davey Warner was atomic at times in his first time as first choice opener in all formats..Underwhelming at others..But that's what you get with Davey..And the good days are so stupendous,they make the ordinary bearable..It's gunna be some ride with this boy,so strap in..
All these guys make worthy candidates..All contributed to a spectacular 4 months of cricket,but i think when i closely analyse the data,& do up the numbers there is only one man who i could give the award to..
This man contributed the major role in every victory,his judgement almost unfailing in the face of tremendous odds..
And that man is The Parraboy..
