If there is a country that Smith can struggle in its NZ because who cares. We play there once a decade or something lol. He needs to convert a start in asia before I worry about what he does in NZ.

With Khawaja currently on 35 off 28 balls, its time for Rod Marsh to be given the axe and confined to his house skulling down 50 beers like he used to on Ashes tours. Khawaja has already shown more than enough in the two ODIs he's played in this series to make Rod look the fool. Shows how far out of touch with reality his selections have been.

JJ is struggling to come to terms with things after the game 1 demolition NZ were nailed on to win this tournament, right now they're making hard work of it

Khawaja has been a bit on the streaky side but has a lot more about him than Darsh who isnt a bad ODI player tbh.

Looking at his record, Smiths major issue is that he struggles to get hundreds overseas. He only has 1.

However, the stats are reasonably skewed as well given that many of his overseas matches came before he was elevated up the order, and the great run of form he had coincided with a lot of home ODIs. Since September 2014 (when he was elevated) he's only played a dozen or so matches away from Australia. Since the home Tests in 2014 where his form really kicked into gear he's only played 9 ODIs away.

I think he has only played one full series overseas since he came back into the ODI side. The tour against England when he was captain lol

Smith wasn't even a walk up starter for the ODI team a little over a year ago I think it was, you can't use that as an accurate guide

I thought it'd be 2-1, hoped it'd be to us - not going to happen

I'm still hopeful of the tests, but the bottom line is we're a shadow of the team from 12 mths ago - Boult's not right, Taylor and McCullum out or not right, Southee hurt, Neesham out, Anderson is Anderson, Watling's form has dropped...

Sounds like whinging, probably is, we don't have the depth to handle it, and at the end of the day, Australia are simply great at cricket - and tbh I think we choke against them, Hadlee era aside
