NZ progressing well. Latham with a steady start. Williamson took a long time to get going, but just hit Matthews for 3 successive boundaries. 80/1

Vandersay gets two good wickets. Taylor disappoints when we need him to step up....again

His best days are behind him frankly. Take away Perth which was a disgraceful wicket and he looks very very poor.

Latham needs a kick up the backside. Everyone is hyping him to the high heavens but he forever gets starts and then gets out softly. Modern day Carl Hooper.

No Anderson at 6 which means Santner at 8 is a big loss to this team.

Corey is vital to our odi team balance.

I think with Taylor, his statistics make him look better than he it. He constantly is getting out to a poor, rash shot having made a good start and is constantly disappointing when we really need him to step up. Could have been anything...ended up delivering less than he promised overall.

Those poor rash shots are most his regular scoring shots.

His stats do not lie. He scores runs. One of NZ's best. Looks ungainly. Not a technician. But a powerful if not brutal shot maker.

I still can't believe you named Anderson in an all time ODI team :lol::lol:

I still have no idea what you are talking about

There is a film called "Moneyball". Watch it. It is popular and based on a true story. It introduces new concepts on team selection.

Then look at what NZ, SA, and more importantly what Australian coaches and selectors have been doing of late.

There are plenty of cric info articles on it.

More referring to his test game. His slip fielding too. He looks like a guy struggling to pick up the ball and react quickly.

Time to see what Santner is made of. I think he has been over hyped based on some cameo performances rather than substance.
