It happens to the best of them. He hasn't been India's worst batsman this series and most of Dravid's dismissals have been to good balls. Whether this is his last series or not time will tell I suppose.
But they are uncharacteristic dismissals for a number 3 batsman. Being bowled 5 of 6 innings, especially when you are known as the wall.

Well everybody wants thier keeps to be Gilly....

In most cases they bat 7 for a reason. His keeping has been ok, other than they stand back too far. Captaincy not that bad IMO, his top six let him down.

Dhoni just likes bat on ball, he doesn't really have the art of patience and is a better ODI player. If anything he doesn't adjust his game enough between formats.

He isn't going as bad as Haddin but not far away.

They are. He is 39 though which is very old in the test arena and although he is 1 of my favourite players of all time, it is time for him, along with Tendulkar and Laxman to move on for the sake of Indian cricket even if they do happen to score big in the next test. Whether the selectors have the balls to make such decisions is another thing.

Say goodbye to Laxman now, Dravid after the series and Tendulkar maybe next season. I think that fairly represents where they need to be. They haven't learned from us from a few years back.

They would be better off losing this series 4-0. None of them have anything to prove in international cricket anymore and they would be better off moving aside for the youngsters to come through. IMO, this should be the last series for all 3 of them, but it won't and their batting in future years will suffer unless they selflessly pull the plug on their test careers.

They have gone on too long, having 3 new batsmen coming into the side plus Kohil and then Gambhir and Sehwag is not ideal.

I agree Sehwag is an enigma and has always been hit and miss despite his great average. The advantage India had was even if he fell early they had Dravid, Tendulkar and Laxman to pick up the pieces. Without them it will be tougher. Dhoni and Gambhir are hit and miss also which highlights weaknesses in the bowling. It is going to be an interesting transitional period and I think they might struggle a little longer than we did.

They have, and if they really care about Indian cricket, then they will step aside although I do love Dravid a lot :) but he must move on unfortunately.

I don't like Sehwag, he's too much baseball and not enough thought or patience for my liking

That is fair enough but he was given freedom because they had a legendary middle order, if they depart suddenly his ugly failures will be more under the spotlight.
