It's time to go - Bill Lawry. His commentary has always been pretty crap but he's bordering on senile now. And it's not just the ridiculous spruiking of anything Victorianian anymore, it's more than that. How many times does he say "He's got him! Has he? Noooo!" these days. And then yesterday reckoned it was Dravid who dropped Warner when it was Kohli. Now today it's "big shout!" when there wasn't. If you can't see the game you can't call it. Piss the old Victorian off.

I voted just right, I'm sick of seeing pitches favour the batsmen all the time

If you are good enough to bat at 1 then you are good enough to bat at 3.

Question is Watson was picked at 1 because Notch was bowling rubbish as stupid as that sounds and I dont think it was ever intended as a permanent move, even Watson said that himself in an interview I heard just before Christmas, seems he is resigned to the fact that his future lies in the middle order.

Yes he says that now, the year before he was telling all and sumdry how he loves to open, I guess he has finally realised he was wrong. Ricky allowing this did not help

Shades of Laxman/Dravid 2001 here. Let's not celebrate too early. We need 2 more wickets before I think we've got it. If these two are still in when they catch our total getting a defendable lead like 150-250 won't be impossible.

And from there there's no guarantees.

India are still 78 runs behind and our bowlers are bowling without any luck, Harris in particular.

The luck will turn around and I will not be surprised if the Indians lose their last 6 wickets for not much at all.
