Got me f**ked why people cling to some kind of phantom idea of "technique" tbh....the guy has 12,500 first class runs, clearly "technique" doesn't matter to him

it works for him I guess but most of his shots are well outside his eyeline which makes it very hard to watch the ball onto the bat

Like Elgar he does nick a lot.

Interesting career. Scored a hundred on debut followed by f**k all and then a hundred here.

Deals in hundreds the Cook.

Scissorhands takes a good catch which heals thinks is magnificent.

I think his problem has been primarily starc. he came into the series real nervous against starc in particular with the ball coming back into him. against hazlewood his footwork has been adequate but against starc he has been very nervy

Yeah but most openers nick off a lot. It's a hazard of the job. All batsmen have their flaws and their strengths IMO, there's no perfect technique. Better to know your own natural technique and play to that
