same 13 with Johnson added to our 14 man squad according to nein

fmd, I just dont get it
I honestly just give up, we sledged the last lot of selectors but these f**kwits are just as bad. Johnson has done nothing absolutely nothing to get back in the side and Ponting will be allowd to play jntil he is 50 because we need his experience and he was once a great player.

what I'd like to know is who the 13 are, is Haze included in the 13 cuz Starc was 12th man and Haze was added to the first test squad so he could do nothing more than hang around with them

we only need to add one bowler which surely has to be Starc

No mention of Watson, unless he is the 13th player.

Mitchell Johnson has been recalled to Australia’s squad for the third Test against South Africa with selectors also including Josh Hazlewood and John Hastings.

With James Pattinson ruled out and Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus feeling the pinch after a heavy workload in Adelaide, selectors could opt for several changes with Mitchell Starc almost certain to fill one place at the WACA Ground on Friday.

They could indeed rest Siddle and Hilfy, short turnaround and they might have lost some sip. Siddle could be carry a niggle as well

So our attack could be totally different

Hastings (for Siddle)
Starc for Pattinson
Hazelwood for Hilfy
Sunshine for Quiney

Johnson 12th man

Yep, no way they'd bother bringing Shitchell in just to be a water boy. This is beyond farked.

I think we play 4 quicks too like last year. Siddle, Starc, Johnson, Hilf I guess.

Don't forget our well Johnson has bowled in Perth the last few years.

and he is crap this year, how far back do we go, should we pull out the history books ?

4 quicks aint gonna happen with Watson back, Lyon will play with 3 quicks plus the all rounder I reckon

Starc and Hilfy seem locks, then it will depend on how the Veggie pulls up

Sorry but Jackson Bird takes 6 for not many...Johnson gets smacked to every park of Bellreive and gets picked...my god I am lost for words

I think Johnson will play, even without the injuries, selectors seem to think that he should be the first chosen for a Perth test

Not entirely sure why Hastings / Johnson were chosen over Bird, he's been the form bowler for the last 2 years..

The lineup for Perth SHOULD of been:

1) Warner
2) Cowan
3) Watson
4) Ponting
5) Clarke
6) M.Hussey
7) Wade
8) Starc
9) Bird
10) Hilfenhaus
11) Lyon

(Give Siddle a proper rest before the Sri Lanka games and let Bird stake his claim?)

Hazlewood shouldnt be near the side at this point, IMO a fantastic bowler who in a few years will be leading us around along with Pattinson, but hasnt god the wickets just yet

Johnson getting picked in the squad despite Jackson Bird carving up against WA that will do me

Leave booked for Friday and Monday, few showers to be around Perth on Friday although I'll believe it when I see it.

There was a report in the West Australian last week with the WACA curator saying this pitch won't nearly be as green as the test vs India

most of the cricket commentators seem to think that Johnson and Hastings will miss out

talking about Bird is nonsense, you all know how our selectors think

Notch did well against the saffas 4 years ago at the WACCA and that seems to be more relevant to them that Birds current form

I wouldn't pick Johnson but if the selectors did I could see why. He does have a decent record vs. South Africa and also at the WACA, never know he might break Smith's hand again and/or destroy the Saffa's top order like he did a few years ago?

Just the fact Johnson is a possibility in the third test should be grounds for immediate dismissal for every single selector.
