f**k me drunk, I seriously don't get this.

John f**king Hastings. How is he even in the squad, let alone the XI?

This is the most popgun attack we've fielded in 20 years.

Would have preferred Hazelwood ofcourse but hopefuly Hasting solid frame can generate plenty of bounce and swing against the Proteas.

So Notch is world famous for being a f**king sook about the new ball - does that mean we're honestly about to see John Hastings open the bowling in a test match for Australia?

f**k me drunk.

I'd have happily had Hastings in the side if Johnson wasn't there.

I don't think this side should carry both in the 11.

I wouldn't be surprised if Starc and Johnson open.

It'll give the Channel 9 commentary team something to talk about

"This is the first time two left arm pace bowlers have opened the attack for Australia since blah blah blah"

Why are we picking an 'allrounder' in Hastings for this test?

If he'd played in the first two tests ahead of Quiney I almost could have worn it.

Why do we need an all-rounder at 8 when the top order is scoring runs?

This is utter dross.

more like why do we need another all rounder when we couldn't bowl the saffas out twice in either test match with 4 specialist bowlers

its just so illigical

Hastings is just a poor mans Watson, I could understand him being picked if Watson didn't play but playing playing him and Shitchell just reeks of negativity.

How dejected did Haze look during the anthems?

He would have been gutted to find out he'd been overlooked for that Victorian pie-chucker.
