agree with eddie here

we are playing a spinner for spinners sake, all this crap that haurie can hold up one end, so can Bracken

If we are not gonna groom and persist with Krejza, or try someone from left field like a steve smith, then lets pick the best 4 paceman to play. Use clarke/katich for spin when need be

I think I sad a few weeks back, neither Hauritz or Crazy should be playing for Australia

everyone was arguing over who was the best, neither of them deserves a baggy green imo

if you want take wickets, pick your 4 best wicket takers

exactly

I think rewarding the top 4 bowlers in the country who deserve to be rewarded

clearly that hasnt happend last 6 months

though, I can understand them trying to give a spinner or two a chance, for balance and on certian decks if anything else. Picking Hauritz as a test spinner and he cant even spin the ball is a cricketing triple bypass.

Symonds debuted the year before in Sri Lanka
Umm yes i know that but it only been since 2005 Ashes series the great all rounder hunt has been on. Symonds got picked in Sri Lanka on a hunch :? And because he played county cricket with Chucky.

as others have said , just an extra days rest. Especially with the perth test so close to the boxing day test.

it wasnt all that long ago that the sydney test actually started on new years day.

I think that may have happened only once maybe 10 years back. Was usually always starting on the second. There was also one year where on New Years Day we played the one dayer v West Indies where Michael Bevan hit the winning run on the last ball.. I was there that night.. corker of a match after the rain disruption.
