This post shows a lack of understanding of test cricket.

I don't see you criticising Cowan. He is well and truly in and is scoring at a strikerate near enough to single digits these last few overs. Considering Cowan isn't finding it easy here maybe that should excuse Hughes in his very first few overs?

This test is 4 days long. It can't be won here but it can be lost. And if Hughes throws his wicket away like you seem to want him to it will only contribute to a loss.
