We're right in this. If this team wins or draws I reckon keep all of them for the 4th test because we'll have all the momentum.

Well he's no Jono Hastings or quiney I will grant you that.

My recollection of smiths last stint in the test team were that he was shithouse

Against a pretty damn good Pommy team, pretty sure he got a 50 in his last innings of that series.

People don't remember him for his scores they just take a look at his technique and that's the end of.

Smith is not a long term solution to our batting. Although this 90 odd should guarantee him another 60 tests.

Steve Smith averages around about 30 in Tests for Australia in 5 matches (Including against the Pom's when he wasn't in that great of form), averages over 40 in FC cricket (More than I can say for some Australian batsmen picked recently).

I'd be quite happy to persist with him until the Ashes if he keeps scoring moderate runs with the odd big one, it's what we need in the middle order, a guy who can hang around but can also accelerate if needed.

Starc and Doherty have a profound mutual understanding batting at the crease

remember that ODI at the Gabba? It was up to them to push the score from 9 for 30 odd to be 74 all out

And they were great again that game at the SCG, for the 10th wicket partnership, ensuring Australia came through with the No Result they were hoping for when went into the game
