Unlucky for Haddin, stayed down.

Hey Ishant - your test average is nearly 40. When you're significantly less shit then you can give batsmen send offs, you wanker.

The Indian team is f**ken shit. Hughes has scored f**k all like everyone with half a cricketing brain knew he would.

Give up you moronic gimp. He's f**ken useless and one of the worst top order batsmen to ever wear the baggy green.

On the plus side we've made 270 without any from Clarke....and with the deadweight still in the team.

We might have lost a full day's play
But Australia still have enough time to lose 7 wickets on a perfect batting track

When Australia loses 1 wicket, 2 or 3 usually follow

f**k this team is bad. Switch on after the footy and see we've more or less collapsed again. Smith surprising though! Good for him.

Wonder if Mo is in the selector's crosshairs? Hasn't contributed much since his debut test. Not that we have anyone to replace him with...

Smith has always copped it worse than he deserved. He did rubbish in the Ashes, largely due to being put in when out of form. Season before that he hit four tons in a shield season - he can play. But in the ODI team he was being used as slogger at 7 and that was never the way he played the game.

I dont advocate him for England, dont think he'd handle the moving ball all that well, but pleased to see him bat well today

Good on Smith for his unbeaten knock today.

Still have doubts that he has the game required to be a Test Cricketer, but in times like these a regular nuffy can get a good run if they put their hand up on occasion. Getting himself to 3 figures and the team past 350 will obviously help his cause.

On a whole though, this innings has been same old shite and the homework is yet to pay off. Either plenty of starts or 1 or 2 good knocks with SFA support.

Either way, India - sans complacency - should bat for long time on this deck.

Once Mitch and Sids are off, the Indians have the combined might of Mo, Lyon and Doherty to contend with while Patto puts his feat up. Bitch, please.

How do we manage to cram so much fail into one team? Three ducks and another score that may as well have been a duck to completely undo the ahrd work of Warner and Cowan. Mind you, would have been nice if at least one of our openers had converted a good start into a century for f**king once.

Some interesting numbers for the 3 openers in our team:

Warner - 31 innings, 3 centuries, 7 fifties, 1 duck, 1 50+ score every 3.1 innings, average 43.20
Cowan - 27 innings, 1 century, 6 fifties, 1 duck, 1 50+ score every 3.8 innings, average 33.96
Hughes - 42 innings, 3 centuries, 5 fifties, 5 ducks, 1 50+ score every 5.2 innings, average 32.48

Conclusion: Hughes is shit.

pretty solid day for us tbh...we showed a bit of ticker...we may rely on clarke excessively at the moment...but he got a duck and we are on 270 with smith and starc batting well...starc IMO could end up becoming more of an all rounder. He has proven he can bat and why we sent siddle in above him beats me. If smith can get to his 100 which he probably deserves for showing resistance we could end up with 350-400 and thats enough IMO to still be in this test match. Considering the failures we've had so far in the tour (with clarke saving our ass) this is a pretty positive day IMO. Cowan just earned his ashes place, Warner did well and Smith and Starc at the end showed some heart. I hope we can pile on another 100-150 tomorrow morning to give us a bit of a platform. If these 2 stay at the crease we are more than capable!!
