I don't think there is.

I reckon Arthur and co are f**king stupid enough to pull this shit.

There were 22 tests between our last ashes test and the next series. There are only two to go

Kudos to all concerned for getting us to a better place than last ashes. f**kwits. Absolute f**kheadery

Having said that, Im game for doing the Harlem Shake to get banned from this message board though:lol:

What are the odds that Uzzy doesnt agree with the team culture to play in the Australian cricket team?

Not be a conspirational, but a player as good as him would get a game for anyone else in international cricket that doesnt contain opposite egos that wont have a beef with him

It's a poor look when the vice captain can't be farked obeying team orders..

Exactly. It says a lot about the vice-captain. Not that it's of any surprise as Watson couldn't give a stuff about the side and is just waiting for the IPL to start:lol:

The sooner he's permanently out of the test side, the better

3) Hughes
4) Clarke (c)
5) Smith
6) Haddin
7) Henriques
8) Maxwell
9) Siddle
10) Starc
11) Lyon

So bad.........

Seems ridiculous that players have been dropped, but the simple fact of the matter is the players where given a task and they didn't do it. It highlights to me, how poor their attitudes are.

When i'm at work, when I get assigned tasks, i do them or face losing my job

This is no different

This is the worst reason I've ever seen for any player to be sacked. Usman and Johno haven't even played a game, Pattinson has been our best bowler, Watto I'm ok with. But what utter stupidity, we're going to go in to a must win test with out of form batsmen and a shit bowling attack. NSP and Mickey Arthur sack yourselves immediately and Sutherland you clown hire Lehmann as coach and Tugga, McDermott and someone else as selectors.

I predicated that we'd get raped with barbwire last test and was right. This team I predict out rectums will get pushed through our mouths after being impaled on a elephant sized c**k. Whatever side we pick now will be rubbish, won't be a testicle pube on former sides. Being beaten within 3 days is a reality. India strengthens their team, we weakened ours.

OK, people are saying they're professionals and didn't do an assigned task. Ignoring the fact that their job is to be a cricketer and the task assigned was nonsense.

Dropping Watson for batting like rubbish I can handle. Dropping him for not doing his homework is bloody ridiculous.

'It's not under-6s, this is Test cricket'

The cricket world reacts to the axing of Shane Watson, James Pattinson, Mitchell Johnson and Usman Khawaja from the Mohali Test
ESPNcricinfo staff
March 11, 2013

"I'm surprised that's the penalty for something so mundane. It seems like it was on a schoolboy tour or something. It's an over the top reaction."

Former Australia captain Allan Border "I'm stunned. I've never heard of this sort of thing before at top level in any sport. When you are losing there are niggling things there but they're grown men, it's not school boy stuff. It's not under-6s, this is Test cricket… there would have been a better way."
Former Australia batsman Mark Waugh
"From my experience report writing is not a player's strength, no surprise to hear some failing, need to focus more on field short comings?"
Former Australia allrounder Tom Moody
"Adults we are, not schoolboys! Please let's act properly and make good decisions in India! Need these boys playing."
Former Australia batsman Darren Lehmann
"To many wrong people are picked for jobs who give a fancy presentation!!"
Former Australia batsman Damien Martyn
"What is going on with Aussie Cricket?? Didn't realise you had to do an essay to get a selection these days..!!!!!"
Former England captain Michael Vaughan
"Implications from these actions are serious.. I feel it is deeper than it appears. Aust are in trouble!!"
Former Australia batsman Dean Jones
"Financially cricket is great these days, but I'm glad I played when it was enjoyable and cricket was all that mattered - wickets and runs."
Former England fast bowler Darren Gough

I hate Mickey Arthur for making me agree with Michael Vaughan.

Patto bowls his f**king heart out every game (which is his actual job!) and gets wickets on ptiches with no assistance whatsoever, and yet hacks like HAH, MaxDerp and Smith, who do SFA out in the middle, will get a game over him just because they finished their f**king homework.

It's f**king ludicrous.

Wonder how much of a say/involvement the skipper had in all this BS?

Johnson and Khawaja would have been genuinely stumped I reckon. What did they have to improve on, they didn't play a f**king test.

^ thats where the conspiracy is

I dont care if they did the "Harlem Shake" FFS :x ! Just tell us a more understandable explanation than "the players did not do their homework" as an explanation

Like I said earlier, the point isn't what wasn't done. You don't get to pick which coaching instructions you follow and which you don't. You follow all of them if you want to play. There are some things this coach has done that I disagree with, this is not one of them. I admire him for being as strict with his stars as he is with his smallest names.

Hopefully this short term pain has long term benefits.

Would you expect the Roosters to be asked to compose a presentation on how they can each improve on their game against the Rabbits?

What about Laurie Daley asking each of the Blues to give a Powerpoint presentation on how they can each improve in the next SOO?

Then dropping anyone who didn't do it.

Overreacton.

If anything a fine would be more appropriate.

+ watching the second test with only James Brayshaw commentating.
